New! Three Course Set Dinner Menu at $80 per person.
As well as offering our five course dining experience, Head Chef Norka has introduced from January, an option of three course set dinner menu; offering another chance to sample fine dining with five star service.
The Mangapapa Kitchen maintains a ‘paddock to plate’ philosophy, adhering to the seasons and using fruit and vegetables grown in the hotel kitchen garden and surrounding orchards. They are inspired by the local produce and the quality of those ingredients to produce exceptional menus with flair and creativity. Every night there’s a different menu, tailored to any dietary requirements of the guest’s. So call (06) 878 3234 to make a reservation as bookings are essential.
Easter Egg Hunt at Mangapapa Hotel
Monday 2nd April 2018 11.30 am – 2.30 pm
Looking for a fun day out with the family for Easter? Why not grab a ticket and come and explore the Mangapapa Hotel grounds on a hunt for those elusive Easter Eggs? We’ve got a family friendly afternoon planned with an egg hunt for everyone, finishing with a handmade chocolate gift for every entrant.
Each ticket is $15 per person including chocolate gift. Tickets must be bought in advance of event and last arrivals no later than 1pm. There will games, a raffle, music and plenty of fun for all!
Drink options and small selection of food options are available on the day. Please bring cash only on the day.

In addition to the hunt, enjoy a yummy lunch on the front lawn, by pre-ordering a family style picnic box full of Mangapapa food goodies and bring along a blanket to enjoy it on. The picnics will be made up of freshly baked sandwiches, sweet treats and Hawke’s Bay fruits. $78 per picnic box for a family of four or $35 per individual adult box and $22 per individual child box. Picnics must be pre-ordered before the day.
Wonderful High Tea with the Dilmah Family!
Over February’s Art Deco weekend, we had a very special event organised with the Dilmah Tea Family for their fantastic customers. Having heard all about our Mangapapa High Tea, Dilmah Tea worked with us to provide a unique dining experience for some lucky customer, competition winners. Our team of talented Chefs, created a customised, tea inspired menu, complete with traditional Sri Lanka love cake, tea inspired sorbets and dainty china cups brimming with yummy tea. It was an honour to meet the founder of Dilmah Tea, Mr Fernando & his son, Dilhan and see them enjoy our scrumptious sweet treats.
