Head Chef – Norka Mella Munoz

The first female Head Chef of Mangapapa, Norka has worked at the hotel for over three and half years. Her wealth of experience from cooking all around the world in five star hotels brings a fantastic dining experience to Mangapapa. Originally from Chile, Norka moved to New Zealand fourteen years ago to create a home with her family. The style of Chef’s cooking reflects this with her fusion style, cuisine blending Chilean flavours and kiwi seasonal produce. She’s always happy to talk food and even demonstrate a few recipes!

Accommodation Manager – Emily Atkinson (parental leave)

Originally from the UK, Emily has worked at Mangapapa for over four years with a huge passion for the hotel and New Zealand tourism. Her background in business and service plus love of travel, lends itself well to her role of keeping the hotel running day-to-day and constantly seeking to maintain the hotel’s five star standards. Emily’s happy to advise on any plans you might have for a visit to Hawke’s Bay plus picking the perfect room at Mangapapa. Her love of New Zealand is something she loves to talk about too so be sure to quiz her!

Restaurant Supervisor – Andrew Campbell

Andy has been at working Mangapapa for nearly two years; bringing with him a great knowledge of New Zealand wine and huge passion for fine dining food and service, from working all over the world and all over New Zealand. If you can’t find Andy working away at the hotel,  you’ll probably catch him doing his other passions, fishing and golfing. Hawke’s Bay is the perfect place for this so be sure to ask him for tips!
